Is Let’s Talk a Good Fit for Your Tween or Teen?

This group may be a great fit if your tween or teen:

• Struggles to start or keep conversations going
• Feels awkward or anxious in social settings
• Has trouble reading social cues
• Worries about saying the “wrong” thing
• Tends to interrupt, overshare, or shut down
• Wants meaningful friendships but feels unsure how to build them
• Would benefit from practicing social skills in a supportive, low-pressure space

Let’s Talk is a social skills group for tweens and teens who want to feel more confident connecting with others. We practice real-life communication through structured games, collaborative challenges, and roleplay activities.

We play a lot of games. Think DND-style adventures, interactive storytelling, strategy-based group challenges, and visual reasoning games like Ouisi. These activities make practicing conversation, flexibility, teamwork, and perspective-taking feel natural instead of forced.

Our focus is confidence, connection, and growth. Not perfection.

Current Group Update

Update: March 10, 2026

Our Let’s Talk group is currently running with an average of 4–5 participants each week, which allows for meaningful interaction while still giving each child space to participate.

At the moment, the group is participating in a Dungeons & Dragons–style role-play activity designed to help practice social skills in a fun, structured way. Through collaborative storytelling and decision-making, participants work together to navigate different scenarios and challenges. These situations allow kids to practice communication, problem-solving, emotional awareness, teamwork, and how to respond to different social situations in a supportive environment.

Before beginning our next longer role-play campaign, we plan to spend a few sessions exploring shorter interactive games and activities that focus on different social situations and communication skills. These games allow the group to practice things like turn-taking, reading social cues, managing frustration, and working through challenges together.

The goal is to keep the group engaging while continuing to build real-world social confidence in a supportive space.
