“Feelings are much like waves, we can’t stop them from coming but we can choose which ones we surf”
Meet Chloe, LCSWA
Hello! My name is Chloe and I am a licensed clinical social worker associate (LCSWA) who works with kids, teens, and young adults who are navigating big emotions, life transitions, and challenges with regulation, attention, or social connection.
My approach to therapy is integrative, playful, and skills-based, meaning I pull from multiple evidence-based modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. I frequently use child-centered play therapy to help children express thoughts and feelings they may not yet have words for, and sand tray therapy to support emotional processing, problem-solving, and storytelling in a safe, creative way. These approaches allow kids to explore their inner world while feeling supported and in control.
For my older clients, I like to use art-based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills. CBT helps clients understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, while DBT focuses on practical tools for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills are especially helpful for kids and teens who feel overwhelmed easily, struggle with impulsivity, or have difficulty managing strong emotions.
In addition, I support clients with executive functioning skills such as organization, emotional regulation, planning, and follow-through—particularly for those with ADHD or autism. Sessions are structured enough to build skills, but flexible enough to feel engaging, safe, and supportive.
Whether you’re a parent seeking support for your child, or a young adult looking for a space to better understand yourself and build confidence, my goal is to create therapy that feels collaborative, empowering, and approachable. You don’t have to have everything figured out to get started—we’ll work through it together.
